Soil Research Technician

Salary/Position Classification

• $14.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 18 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• In-lab physical, chemical, and biological (including DNA extraction) analysis of soil and plant samples collected from field sites and natural areas across the Great Plains and Pacific Northwest

Minimum Requirements

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and majoring or minoring in the biological sciences, environmental sciences, or chemistry
• Enrolled in a minimum 1 credit for the employed academic semester
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
