Job Description

Syngenta Group aims to enable farmers around the world improve their soil health through innovative solutions and knowledge sharing. We recently committed to enable the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices across 50 million hectares and 85% of seed production through regenerative agriculture, both by 2030. Training people across the company in the area of soil health is a critical enabler of our strategy. This remote role will support the global development of soil health training and upskilling within a team of experts led by our Chief Soil Scientist.

This role will participate in the development, management, and delivery of the soil health upskilling program internally, and externally through customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in soil science, agronomy, or related field with at least four years of professional outreach or educational experience. This is a remote position

Duties:

  • Contribute to the development, management, and delivery of soil health upskilling materials.
  • Help identify specific soil health information needs across business units and regions to inform internal and external programming.
  • Follow and add new scientific findings in soil health, communication and adult learning to internal materials and external programs.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of soil health science and practical applications for a range of audiences.
  • Lead program coordination and planning for outreach efforts while working alongside local/regional organizations (universities, government agencies etc.) to carry out those efforts.

Qualifications

  • MS preferred or a combination of education and experience, Minimum 4 years outreach and/or teaching experience related to soil health, or equivalent training.
  • Fundamental and applied understanding of soil health and agronomy related topics.
  • Educational content development and management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with agronomists, farmers, commercial teams and scientists.
  • Ability to work effectively within a complex organization and the ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information

Salary for this role is $115k- $121 per year.
