Software Test Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL (Remote)

Salary: $100k - $130k
Clearance: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI
Education: Bachelor’s degree (STEM)
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking a Software Test Engineer responsible for integrating, testing, and deploying software and hardware products as an integral component of a larger, complex system and across multiple contracts. This position is crucial to the successful integration, testing, and deployment of both software and hardware products as part of a larger, complex system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of these systems across multiple contracts, ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality, performance, and security standards.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test procedures for software systems, ensuring that all aspects of the system’s functionality, performance, and security are thoroughly tested. Create both manual and automated test scripts that align with project specifications and system requirements.
2. Define and implement effective verification and validation methods to assess system behavior against functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with engineering teams to establish appropriate testing metrics and benchmarks to ensure system quality and compliance.
3. Lead the integration testing of software products within a larger ground system, ensuring seamless interoperability between components. Identify and address integration challenges, working closely with System and Software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
4. Work closely with developers and other engineers to troubleshoot errors or defects identified during testing. Provide detailed bug reports, assist in root cause analysis, and validate fixes to ensure the resolution of issues and proper functionality.
5. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Collaborate with other team members, including software developers, system engineers, and product owners, to ensure test coverage aligns with sprint goals and acceptance criteria.
6. Assist other engineers in defining the future testing architecture roadmap for upcoming system capabilities. Contribute to the planning and enhancement of testing frameworks and methodologies to support evolving system requirements and technological advancements.
7. Coordinate with multiple engineering and maintenance teams across disciplines to address technical issues, share test results, and resolve any cross-functional challenges that may arise. Ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues that impact system performance and integration.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with Automation tools (Jenkins, Selenium)
2. Full software lifecycle for software programs
3. Experience with DOORS
4. Experience with Linux
5. Experience with VersionOne or other Agile management program
6. Scripting or software development (Python, Perl, SQL, or other scripting languages)
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
8. Strong organizational, written and communication skills.

10. Scripting or other SW development skills
11. Experience on agile technical teams to closure on a tight schedule and budget
12. Demonstrated ability to work within a complex engineering environment
