Location: Redmond, WA (100% remote, but need to be in Redmond, WA to be able to pick up equipment for testing periodically)
Duration: 1+ month contract (to be extended on quarterly basis)
Hourly Rate: $15.00 to $17.50 per hour
Start Date: February 27th, 2025
Typical Day in the Role
- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to own the experience for enterprise and consumer identity services.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to modernizing the consumer identity experience and implementing a new product called External ID also known as Siam.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of participating in bug bashes; going through the project and making sure that it's working according to spec before releasing to production. As well as exploratory testing; a suite of manual tests that we would expect them to go through doing build validation.

Candidate Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 1-2 overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: A degree is more of a preference for this role.
- Disqualifiers: Candidates who are missing the requirements will not be eligible for the role.
- Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with testing; testing tools such as Fiddler.
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, is this person able to identify bugs and issues before going into production. As well as their ability to meet deadlines.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1.) Minimum 1-2 years experience with testing in tools such as Fiddler
2.) Minimum 1-2 years experience with web apps and testing in web browsers
3.) Minimum 1-2 years experience with testing on Android and IOS devices.
Hard Skills Assessments
- Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
- Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1round, 40minutes long.
- Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be prepare to share their screen to conduct a test in web browser prior to the assessment.
Executes prewritten manual test scripts and reports product anomalies when found. May also run automated test tools and perform analysis of results. Performs basic computer configuration and/or application compatibility testing. Works under the supervision of more senior Testers. General knowledge of personal computers, applications software, or operating systems required. Must have the ability to use, at a basic level, word processing and spreadsheet applications. Demonstrated investigative and problem solving skills required. Familiarity with product lifecycle preferred. Must have the ability to learn new information quickly. Bachelor's degree, technical training certification, Associate's degree or equivalent work experience/training required.
