About your new role:

As a Quality Engineer (QE), you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. Your primary focus will be on exploratory and manual testing, helping to uncover issues that automated tests may miss. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to enhance our automated testing efforts using tools like Cypress and Jenkins. We are currently running PHP (YII) and React infrastructures, and you will contribute to maintaining and improving the overall testing strategy across these platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform exploratory and manual testing to identify functional, usability, and visual defects across our platforms.
• Collaborate with the team to define and execute test plans and strategies for new and existing features.
• Create, document, and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure testing is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
• Use Cypress and Jenkins to contribute to the execution and maintenance of automated test suites for regression and smoke testing.
• Identify and document defects, provide detailed reports, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Assist in improving and maintaining testing best practices and standards.
• Support cross-browser testing (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
• Help maintain and update technical documentation related to testing processes and results.

What you'll need for success:

• A passion for manual and exploratory testing, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with manual testing processes, including writing and executing test cases.
• Basic understanding of PHP and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to test automation using Cypress and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test case management systems.
• Interest in usability testing and cross-browser compatibility validation.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
