We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Sr. Analyst to join our team in Herndon (REMOTE), Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our software development team supporting a federal government contract. The Software Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure that the application meets all functional and non-functional requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Design and create test cases, test scripts, and test data to cover various scenarios, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Utilize risk-based testing techniques to prioritize test efforts.
  • Execute test cases and scripts manually or using automated tools.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
  • Work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
  • Verify fixes and perform regression testing.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
  • Prepare clear and concise test reports summarizing test results, defects, and recommendations.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that testability is built into the application.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
  • US Citizenship and ability to have a successful Public Trust investigation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and testing web applications and APIs, agile development methodologies, testing in CI/CD environments and working on federal government projects.
  • US Military Veteran
  • Agile certifications, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Developer (PSD)
  • Additional certifications related to .NET development, test automation, or security testing
  • Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Agile Tester (CAT), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Test Manager (CTM) or equivalent.

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $64,800 - $135,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
