Software Quality Assurance Analyst & Tester

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: up to $90k annually (depending on experience)
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).
**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze, document, troubleshoot, and test web sites and/or transactional applications.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and write test cases that will thoroughly evaluate and test functionality, regression, performance, usability and security of web applications.
- Identify and document bugs or errors and provide detailed feedback to the development team.
- Implement both manual and automated testing methods.
- Assist with collecting and documenting system processes and business rules to ensure test cases align with business requirements.
- Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements.
- Support 508 compliance testing.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Experience conducting quality assurance and software testing for IT web applications required.
- Experience providing requirements gathering/analysis for IT applications required.
- Manual and automated testing experience required.
- BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
