IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Software Quality Analyst. The role involves Test planning, executing, and reporting on the outcomes of functional, automation, SIT, regression, and performance tests to ensure the software meets specified requirements and is both usable and reliable. This role is responsible for finding defects and issues within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.

The ideal candidate will have experience with functional, UAT, regression, performance, System integration and automated testing.  P&C Insurance experience is strongly preferred.  To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

This role works a hybrid schedule from an IAT Office in Naperville, IL or Rolling Meadows, IL.  The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other functional areas in IT and business to develop effective Test strategies and Plans.
  • Translate user stories/requirements and create test plans, scripts, Test Scenarios and cases for functional, System integration and Regression Testing
  • Continue to maintain/improve business domain knowledge, industry knowledge and SDLC tools/processes expertise.
  • Assembles or creates test data for various types of testing.
  • Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, system integration, performance, and automated testing for all possible positive and negative scenarios.
  • Working closely with developers, BA’s and project managers to ensure products align with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like TAC or similar.
  • Adhere to and support standard QA processes and tools.
  • Execute the QA function within the overall SDLC methodology defined for the project/organization.
  •  Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects, defining corrective action and perform root cause analysis for the defects logged in UAT and Production.
  • Develop and execute performance test scripts using tools like Neo Load, LoadRunner, or similar.
  • Monitor system performance during tests to identify bottlenecks, resource utilization, and response times.
  • Analyze test results to identify performance issues and areas for improvement.
  • Recommends changes to improve user productivity, data quality and finished product.
  • Supports and co-ordinate with users who are executing user acceptance testing.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, trends, and best practices to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Equivalent is defined as seven years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of automation test engineering methodologies including automation testing concepts, verification and validation techniques, defect management, quantitative methods, risk management and measurement programs.
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence or other tracking tools that support Agile development
  • Experience in Test management tools like Test Rail or similar
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning ability. Detail oriented. Observational.
  • Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently. Excellent time management.
  • Good work ethic and general business acumen.

Preferred to Have:
  • P&C industry experience.
  • Duck Creek, P&C product or claims experience.

Compensation:
Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $60,600– $95,700. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role.
