CACI seeks a talented Software Engineer/Developer to join our Foundation GEOINT group, within the Operations Support & Services Sector. We create geospatial products, intelligence, and software to the NGA and other national and international partners. The Foundation GEOINT group utilizes Esri’s ArcGIS and other geospatial tools to develop digital/electronic geospatial data in a variety of formats and functions. This position is for supporting the geospatial production team in creating GIS software tools, databases, and workflows for a fast-paced team.

What You’ll Get to Do: 

  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to develop, solutions for a diverse software/production system

  • Execute the research, engineering, and development of solutions to support production systems

  • Create and maintain testing environments supporting multiple projects

  • Develop releasable solutions in a specified timeframe and budget

  • Collaborate with team to gain understanding and consensus on solution paths

  • Refine and enhance solutions to best meet customer/operational requirements as time and technology move forward

  • Apply system level knowledge to be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions

  • Profile, analyze, and optimize software systems

  • Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs

  • Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements

  • Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience in software development

  • Basic understanding of Geospatial tools and processes

  • Advanced Python development

  • Advanced C# development

  • Tenacious problem-solving abilities

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and develop new skills

  • Solid understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools, and best practices

  • Basic understanding of distributed systems and networking

  • Proven delivery of production-grade applications, including security, diagnostics, maintainability, scalability

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with ArcPy, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Pro SDK

  • GDAL/OGR

  • PostGIS

  • Networking and security experience when developing tools in a highly regulated environment

  • Linux experience

  • Shell scripting

  • The ability to obtain Secret clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
