Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a versatile and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a subset of the following skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in other areas. This role involves collaborating with team members to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring comprehensive testing, and providing support in ticket creation and documentation.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications.
  • Write and execute unit tests and automated tests using frameworks such as Cypress.
  • Create and manage tickets in Jira, and assist other team members in their ticket creation.
  • Document processes and projects in Confluence.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Willingness to learn or existing proficiency in front-end development with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with unit testing and automated testing frameworks, preferably Cypress.
  • Proficiency in ticket creation and management using Jira.
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation in Confluence.
  • Willingness to learn or existing proficiency in Java, including JPA, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
