About the Role & Team:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

This role is with the Capital Markets, Commercial Lending Suite of products. We provide FIS customers an integrated solution for lending life cycle management from origination, credit assessment, servicing, and syndication. The Product Development team is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering the end-to-end commercial lending solution utilizing enterprise agile methodology.


What you will be doing:

  • Working closely with the team to help develop new features and resolve issues for our SyndTrak web application and related services.

  • Performing high level technical support for the application and related support team, approximately 5 days per month.

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise level web application serving the syndicated loan space, with over 50,000 active users.

  • Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.

  • Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.

  • Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.

  • Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.


What you will need:

  • Web application development (full Microsoft stack) experience including JavaScript and SQL.

  • Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.

  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.

  • A bachelor’s in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.


Added bonus if you have:

  • ASP.NET Webforms, AJAX, jQuery experience

  • Knowledge of Fintech/Financial Industry.

  • Knowledge of FIS products and Services.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $115,590.00 - $194,180.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
