Job Description
Duties: The Software Engineer at Adtalem Global Education Inc. reporting to HQ in Chicago, IL will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and capacity management for all organizational software and systems. Provide software application delivery support and mentoring for Associate Software Engineers. Design and implement software solutions to meet business requirements and technical specifications. Analyze project needs and requirements and recommend solutions to enable enterprise integration. Develop and implement software solutions, standards, processes, and security. Collaborate with product managers, architects, quality assurance testers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements and developments. Maintain and enhance existing software applications through bug fixes and feature enhancements. Maintain expertise in higher education software products, emerging technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve software products and practices. Attend vendor trainings, conferences, and presentations for continuing skills development. Train and mentor team members and other technical resources. 100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US. Annual Salary: $103,545 to $124,254
Qualifications
Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems or a related field plus 1 year of experience with software engineering, including experience with each of the following: (1) Java, Node JS, React JS, or TypeScript (2) Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL, or MongoDB (3) Hybrid cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform; (4) Agile methodologies; (5) SOAP or REST; (6) Git, SVN, or Bitbucket; (7) AzureDevOps, Jenkins, or Gitlab; (8) Mulesoft or TIBCO; and (9) JUnit.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $103,545 - 124,254. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
