Software Engineer, iOS

- Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various mobile software services.
- Work closely with product, design and QA teams to build new, innovative and reliable application experiences for the iOS platform.
- Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS programming techniques and development tools.
- Build reusable iOS software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms.
- Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors.
- Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.
- Master company development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.
- Work on a daily basis on building new features on Meta iOS family of apps that integrate with various devices such as Meta Smart Glasses.
- Maintain existing iOS features, serve as periodic oncall, triage bugs and user feedback, analyze data and logs while improving reliability and quality of iOS-based Meta applications.
- Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following: - 1. Object-oriented software development
- 2. Building applications for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS based products using Objective-C, Swift or C++ with the iOS SDK
- 3. Building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
- 4. Multithreading programming and mobile memory management
- 5. Proficiency with the following four programming languages: Objective-C, Swift, C, C++
- 6. Relational databases and SQL
- 7. Linux or Unix
- 8. Algorithms
- 9. Computer network fundamentals
- 10. Computer security and common security vulnerabilities
