Internship Terms: ~8-Month Term commencing May 2025 working up to 29 hours per week

THE INTERNSHIP
The Software Engineer Intern will support team with providing high quality technological solutions that address business needs for TicketWeb’s web-based ticketing platform which may include development for a core set of new features, along with maintenance of existing modules. The placement will participate in design sessions, work closely with product & other non-technical staff, perform heads down development, write unit tests, work with QA on test plans, and create necessary documentation.
THROUGHOUT YOUR TIME WITH US YOU WILL
- Write well-designed, efficient code with unit tests, logging and comments.
- Participate in SDLC processes like Stand-ups, status meetings, grooming, release planning etc.
- Participate in Project brainstorming sessions and work with Product Team and Development team to understand business requirements and provide feedback.
- Participate in Code reviews.
- Supporting the team to deliver project on time with high quality.
YOU WILL PROBABLY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU
- Are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science or a related field that requires participation in a co-op/internship placement as part of the curriculum to graduate.
- Familiarity with modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java and JS frameworks such as Angular, Ember, React, and/or web frameworks (e.g., PrimeFaces).
- Basic understanding of Linux & infrastructure & AWS ecosystem.
- Hands on experience with SQL, along with demonstrated knowledge with NoSQL/Relational DB skills.
- Experience with load testing, performance testing and tuning.
- Understanding of automated testing framework.
- Knowledge of Build tools, such as Maven / Gradle.
- Scripting skills such as Perl, Ruby, shell, and so on.
- An avid interest in learning about the entertainment industry.
- Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to take direction while also displaying strong personal initiative.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$20.00 USD - $25.00 USD Hourly** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
