What You’ll Do
What the Software Engineer will do at SDS
Take a primary role in design, development, improvement, and delivery of game features
Work with the Lead Engineer, Technical Director, Game Team, and outsourcing groups to provide features that increase engagement and fun
Solve problems, debug and assist with challenges
Lead by example within the team by producing simple, maintainable code with few defects; contribute to test plans
Maintain positive lines of communication and relationships with teammates across 2K Studios and Partners
Identify problems early in the process
Design, author, test, and deploy maintainable solutions
You will help us solve the problems that ensure we deliver amazing games
What Will Make You A Great Fit
Who Are You?
3+ years of C++ software engineering experience, including code design, data structures and organization.
1+ Years of Unreal Engine experience
A generalist skill set; adept with one or more of the following: Graphics, Networking, Animation, Physics, UI, Etc
A desire to improve your skills and help your teammates grow theirs; we succeed together
Work with internal and externally developed code in a collaborative fashion
Expertise with C++ and experience in object-oriented design and implementation
Excellent debugging skills
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,100 and $99,320 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
