Help us protect all Amazon customers, from Prime Now to Fulfillment Centers. Amazon is seeking a security-focused Software Development Engineer who is committed to ensuring that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development.
A successful Software Development Engineer will have a broad array of experiences, exceptional design skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you will be responsible for requires a breadth of technical development knowledge. Daily work will involve interactions with security engineers, stakeholders, and managers.
You will enhance and maintain a platform designed to monitor and scan Amazon’s mobile applications. This platform enables security and development teams to quickly and automatically identify and address issues. You will face challenges related to scale and latency as you build features that protect our mobile applications. You will also learn about and integrate with critical systems across Amazon while helping to grow and build the mobile program. We believe in experimenting, iterating quickly, and receiving feedback from our customers and stakeholders.
We are looking for a creative, customer- and detail-obsessed Software Development Engineer familiar with building applications in C, Java, and Python. You need to possess strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures, as well as a good grasp of advanced systems concepts and design. You must be able to iterate quickly while considering the long-term impact of any decisions. We need someone who loves learning and wants to work with an experienced team in a fast-moving, agile, and highly collaborative environment.

The MobileSec team is tasked with empowering the business to create secure, trustworthy mobile applications that our customers find delightful to use. We engage closely with the business from the outset of the development process to ensure that security considerations are integrated early and consistently. This collaborative approach positions us as partners with the business, minimizing the need for security trade-offs. Our close work with product teams allows us to participate in deep technical discussions and decisions. We prioritize obtaining the right training and career growth opportunities, enabling us to Dive Deep and Earn Trust with our development teams.
