POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for a Software Design Engineer in Test for a 100% remote position in US.They are looking for a Software Design Engineer in Test proficient in developing, implementing, and documenting testing activities, with a strong focus on Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for Windows PCs, MR and VR platforms.
  • Test system modifications to ensure proper implementation and performance.
  • Monitor bug resolution and collaborate with developers on fixes.
  • Maintain a database of known defects, prioritizing MR-specific issues.
  • Plan and schedule tests in alignment with project timelines and scope.
  • Execute automated test plans to assess software performance and functionality.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation to support testing efforts.
  • Analyze software performance, identifying issues and areas for improvement.
  • Work with MR (Mixed Reality) hardware and APIs to ensure proper integration and functionality.
  • Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of software across Windows PCs and MR platforms.
  • Focus on the integration and compatibility of software with VR headsets like Quest 3 and Quest 3S.

Qualifications

  • Should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Should have 8-10 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation
  • Must have minimum 4+ year of experience with developing and implementing tests.
  • Must have minimum 3 to 5 year of experience with C#.
  • Must have minimum 3 year of experience with Android development JAVA/Kotlin.
  • Should have experience developing automated tests for VR/MR applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Should have proficiency in developing automated tests for Windows PC applications.
  • Should have hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
  • Should have experience with performance testing and profiling for low-latency applications.
  • Should have proficiency in C/C++

  • A competitive pay range of $70/hr- $72/hr (depending on experience).
  • Position Location: 100% Remote - US
  • 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
