Social Media Project Manager (Temporary, Part-Time Role)

Position Summary:

Our team is looking for a passionate and energetic self-starter to join the Communications team as Social Media Project Manager from mid-April - August. This is a temporary, part-time position and a remote opportunity. This person will manage inbound social and creative requests and oversee the content calendar. This position will work up to 20-hours per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage social content calendar and update with inbound requests for both O&O channels and client channels
• Submit creative requests on behalf of the social team and monitor due dates, approvals and edits
• Work with the larger social team to develop social content strategy across all relevant channels
• Effectively communicate between all parties ensuring accurate, detailed content is delivered
• All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 4+ years of professional social media experience within a sports team, league, agency or media outlet

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to multi-task and be flexible to shift between projects as new priorities emerge
• Passion for Excel’s key sports, divisions and the sports landscape as a whole; interest in pop-culture and lifestyle trends
• Excellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance short-term and long-term projects
• Self-starter who can work on a small team in a dynamic organization
• Must be able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solve
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment
• Driven to increase industry knowledge and work to stay ahead of the curve

The pay range for this position is: $35.00- $40.00 per hour.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
