Social Media Internship Spring 2025
Meet the Team: Join our dynamic External Communications team in the Marketing and Communications department at Torc Robotics, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology. Our award-winning team is comprised of a director of external communications, social media manager, and public relations agency. We’re at the forefront of strategic messaging, branding, and content development, ensuring that Torc’s innovative solutions are communicated clearly and effectively to external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do: We are seeking a Marketing & Communications social media intern to streamline and improve our external communication tools.
- Support forensic digital research and documentation.
- Support the creation of communication materials to foster an informed and engaged community.
- Collaborate with various teams to gather information and craft messages that resonate with different audiences.
- Participate in reporting, performance metrics, and content analytics.
- Research autonomous technology & competitors.
What you’ll need to Succeed:
- Enrolled in undergraduate studies
- Role requirements
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and pivot quickly
- Collaborative style and high emotional intelligence
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms, processes and metrics
- Interpersonal skills, flexible, and can work independently
- Interest in learning about autonomous technology
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong creative storytelling skills
- Responsibilities
- Attend weekly meetings
- Work up to 20 hours/week
- Write a weekly report
- Balance classes & internship
Bonus Points:
- Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design skills.
- Experience writing for publication.
- Familiarity with performance analytics and reporting.
Additional Details:
- Start Date: January 2025
- Role Timeline: One semester, possibility to extend based on performance.
- Location(s): Blacksburg, VA or Remote
Hiring Range for Job Opening US Pay Range$21—$25 USD
