Job Summary:

The Senior Site Superintendent is responsible for oversight of site superintendents. The Senior Site Superintendent leads site superintendents through on-site coordination of their projects and acts in a supportive and mentoring role. Works in conjunction with the Manager of Sites to have an overall knowledge of all job sites and helps to facilitate solutions and encouragement as needed. 


Position Duties and Responsibilities: 

· Oversee the direct supervision of Site Superintendents.

· Responsible for maintaining and the enhancement of Elements culture and MIGS.

· Delivers regular reporting of site status and personnel to the Manager of Projects.

· Visits job sites regularly to keep a pulse on the status of job progression, personnel engagement, schedule analysis, MIGS implementation, and company culture.

· Mentors site personnel, and collaborates with them on their training, education, and development.

· Works closely with other Elements departments to ensure support is given to site superintendents.

· Examines daily reporting and analyzes it for accuracy and schedule.

· Supports, implements, and enforces Elements processes and procedures.

· Has a keen eye for safety implementation on job sites. Works with other Elements personnel to ensure the management of risks. Addresses safety concerns directly as well as communicating issues to Safety Coordinator.

· Collaborates with Manager of Projects, Labor Administrator, and Project Managers to ensure staffing is adequate and capable.

· Ensures that each site superintendent has opportunity for professional development; as well as facilitates the development.

· Works with HR to prepare and deliver regular employee evaluations for those under their department.

· Serves as the stopgap and support for critical on-site situations that occur.

· Collaborates with appropriate leadership to enhance the development of field personnel. Senior Site Superintendent should advocate and promote those who desire to advance, as well as assessing their wiring and capacity to do so.

· Serves as a liaison between site superintendents and Project Managers. Works to foster communication and collaboration.

· Problem solves site specific issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Has participated in Elements leadership programs and assessments.
  • 10+ years’ experience in project supervision and diversified commercial construction knowledge.
  • Has exhibited a humble leadership style.
  • Experience implementing process strategies.
  • Understands and reflects Elements MIGs (Partnerships, Culture, Risk Management,      Deliverables) and company culture.
  • Self-management and drive are key to success in this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, MS Project, and Paylocity.
  • Ability to work closely and cooperatively with others.
  • Competency in building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels.
  • Proficient and effective communicator with high attention to detail.
