Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Academy Manager to design, launch, and manage our Sherweb Academy. This is a single contributor role with a broad scope of responsibility, requiring a deep understanding of Learning and Development (L&D) best practices, proficiency in modern L&D tools, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a comprehensive ecosystem of training content that meets the needs of our clients while working closely with external clients, sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and relevance.

 

Here’s what your day to day will look like

  • Designing and leading the Academy by developing, implementing and managing it on an ongoing basis.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience (CX) and HR to gather insights into client learning needs and adapt the Academy’s offerings accordingly.
  • Identify and select Learning & Development (L&D) technical learning partners and ensure high-quality content (predominantly about Microsoft) and services that align with the Academy’s strategic goals and budget. Negotiate agreements with these partners.
  • Ensure all content is up-to-date, relevant, and effectively organized for client consumption. Leverage internal and external resources to maintain a high-quality, innovative learning experience.
  • Collaborate with Product & Marketing teams to establish a competitive pricing strategy that balances perceived value for partners and profitability for the business.
  • Track key performance indicators (e.g., platform adoption, partner satisfaction, and revenue) and report progress to leadership. Use data to refine strategy and optimize results adjusting pricing if needed.
  • Stay informed about trends in L&D, technology, and client training to continuously improve the Academy’s offerings and methods. Also, regularly assess and refine training programs to adapt to evolving client needs, industry best practices, and business innovations.

 

 Here’s what you need to have and master to get the job

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma with specialization in educational technology, adult learning, visual/graphic design or user experience (UX) design, e-learning or other related specialization OR relevant experience.
  • 10 years' experience in the field and strong acumen in e-learning design.
  • IT industry knowledge and strong interest in technical topics (preferably on Microsoft products and training ecosystem/certifications + Cybersecurity).
  • Previous experience of Microsoft environment and/or with various Microsoft vendors.
  • Advanced skills in the use of various e-learning authoring tools (Articulate360, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.).
  • Bilingual (English and French) both written and spoken.
  • Proven experience in Learning and Development, with a strong understanding of best practices, tools, and trends.
  • Experience in program management or a similar role, particularly in designing and managing training programs or academies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in L&D tools and platforms, with a demonstrated ability to curate and manage content ecosystems.
  • Experience in reporting and analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive program improvements.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation in training and education.

Reasons for the requirement of English: Sherweb has international customers and fluency in English is the only way to ensure proper service delivery to them. The main tasks related to this position require written and oral communication with an English-speaking clientele at all times.
