SGS - Information Systems Security Engineer - Pre-award/Bid
Remote Worker - US Only
Shee Atika Government Services (SGS) is potentially seeking a qualified Information Systems Security Engineer to join our industry-leading, cloud-computing team for a pre-award/bid. An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required for this position.
This is a fully remote role, and the duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to:
- Employ best practices implementing security controls, including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, architecture, and coding techniques.
- Gap analysis for continuous monitoring progressing to a zero-tolerance environment, including review of existing documentation and processes to meet mission system objectives and security compliance.
- Participate in technical mission system sessions to ensure implementation of systems security controls and policy implementation utilizing industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the DevSecOps engineers, ISSM, and ISSO to conduct information security continuous monitoring through risk analysis in support of mission systems in accordance with approved ISCM plan.
- Provide support for incident response operations (whether in testing or real-world scenarios) in strict adherence to AFI 17-203, Cyber Incident Handling guidelines.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Candidate must have DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Candidate must have DoDD 8140 or 8570 equivalent IAT Level III certification(s)
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must possess 2-3 years as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO) (or equivalent role); or 10+ years of cybersecurity industry expertise, including a minimum of 3 years implementing or creating security policies or controls within DoD systems
- Candidate must have 1-2 years of professional working experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc).
- Candidate must have experience with RMF, eMASS, ACAS and Air Force A&A process.
- Candidate must have experience developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of mission systems.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Professional working experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Professional working experience integrating security tools and resources within a cloud service provider based on client build requirements.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SGS.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
