Description

Servicing Quality Control Auditor is responsible for conducting Quality Control, Banking and other ad-hoc audits for areas assigned and as business needs dictate, researching changes within State and Federal Regulations, regulatory agencies, and internal policies and procedures in Loan Servicing and Sub-Servicing. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of servicing industry practices and relevant legal changes that may impact core Loan Servicing and Banking Operations. Assist in procuring necessary research, supporting documentation and other substantiation for internal and external audits. Perform all duties in accordance with internal policies and procedures and all state, federal and investor guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute monthly Servicing Quality Control reviews to support the forward mortgage servicing platforms. Assist in planning, testing and reporting phases of department quality initiatives.
  • Perform monthly Quality Control reviews of the Loan Servicing platform to ensure compliance with all federal, state and investor requirements; re-validate prudent loan information to ensure accuracy.
  • Partner with AVP of Quality Control to prepare audit reports, including corrective action plans, in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback on loan quality/compliance to AVP of Quality Control.
  • Communicate decisions to all parties and build relationships with both internal and external partners; assist with development of audit reports for Senior Management.
  • Respond to internal and 3rd party audit findings including Quality Control requests for supporting documentation necessary to complete reviews.
  • Partner with the business line to develop and monitor action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Assist members of Loan Quality team with other duties and projects as required.


Requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of banking or mortgage servicing experience with emphasis in compliance, audit, or quality control.
  • 3 to 5 years of origination and/or banking preferred.
  • Understanding of FHLMC/FNMA/FHA/VA/GNMA guidelines and State/Federal regulations.
  • Understanding of various banking regulations.
  • Prior experience working with loan servicing systems, particularly MSP and AllRegs, preferred.
  • Effectively handle multiple assignments while meeting departmental performance measures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and coordinate projects for timely delivery to leadership.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal/external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated decision-making ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting in a fast-pasted environment.
  • Rapidly adapts to changing information, conditions and/or unexpected opportunities.

Education:

BA/BS Preferred or a combination of education and required minimum experience in an Audit/Quality Control function.


Required Computer and Software Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proficiency in understanding the latest mortgage servicing technologies: MSP Director, LoanSphere, MERS, AllRegs, FHA Connect, Aacer, Valeri
