Services Operations Specialist - Greater Boston Massachusetts
USA-MA Remote
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Operations Specialist Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Massachusetts (Waltham, Worcester, Cambridge, Lexington)
Shift: 1st Shift
Hourly Rate: $25/hr. - $28/hr. (plus mileage, parking, and toll reimbursement)
Valid CDL and reliable transportation are required.
Please note that this position is not remote. The ideal candidate should live in the Massachusetts area, as they will need to travel outside Massachusetts 40% of the time.

What we’re looking for
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position, but having an Associate's degree or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field would be a plus.
3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, inside sales is preferred.
1-2 years experience Driving/Delivery
Valid CDL and reliable transportation are required.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
Perform all duties associated with operations of Site Services.
Oversee and coordinate the team's activities to meet customer requirements effectively.
Use a company van to transport chemicals and biological samples for delivery and collection.
Collaborate closely with management to complete projects, including Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, Standard Work, On-the-Job Training, and other related tasks, as well as directly engaging with customers regarding job functions.
Leverage Avantor and customer computer systems, such as SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager, and any other client-specific applications.
Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on all service offerings.
Provide SAP Support (Full customer services, credit rebills, invoice scrubbing).
Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators.
Manage a budget related to expense reports.
Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance and quality goals and objectives
