The ServiceNow QA Tester serves as the tester on behalf of the team and client so that complete development meets the requirements as defined by the client. Additionally, the QA Specialists ensure all testing documentation, including User Acceptance Testing scripts, is successfully documented. This position is within the context of an Agile team employing the Scrum development framework. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work with the test team to design, develop, implement, and maintain a test framework that serves multiple project needs using and writing test scripts

  • Knowledge of software testing tools and processes, including executing Automated Test Framework (ATF), recording results, and working with the team to identify and resolve defects/bugs.

  • Participate in sprint planning and work with the project team to identify risks/impacts in the system to be tested.

  • Perform various types of testing potentially including automated, exploratory, load, and performance testing on web services and applications.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations to validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience. Address any issues and perform necessary adjustments to ensure the solution meets the desired outcomes.

  • User Training: Support end-user training to ensure a smooth adoption of the implemented solution.

  • Change Management: Support change management efforts by assisting senior developers, architects, and users during the transition period, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.

  • Incident and Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations. Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolution to incidents and problems.

  • Security and Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and ensure that implemented solutions meet relevant compliance requirements.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices to enhance the quality of implementations and maintain expertise in the platform. Continue certification and training process to meet Practice standards and growth areas and contribute to the continued success of the team.

  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to Associate ServiceNow Developers. Support the growth of other Practice members to meet the needs of their role, the business, and future growth opportunities. Share solutions and lessons learned with the Practice.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, other implementation specialists, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and effective, regular communication, including risks, issues, successes, and overall project status.

  • This role will support clients within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with opportunities to expand support to other defense and security-related organizations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.

  • Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.

  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations.

  • Perform unit, system, and integration testing.

  • Debug and fix technical problems.

  • Support the development of detailed technical documentation.

  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.

  • Participate in platform upgrade activities including regression testing and reconfiguration.

  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.

What you must have:

  • 2+ years of solid, ServiceNow testing working in an Agile development environment (i.e., scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • Bachelors degree is required

  • US Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.

  • Must have a DHS Public Trust or a Secret Clearance.

  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Job Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States.  If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

What we'd like you to have:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Experience with ServiceNow automated testing framework (ATF).

  • Agile, SCRUM, or SAFe certifications.

  • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.

  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with diverse people at all levels.

  • Heightened attention to detail when developing technical solutions.

  • Hands-on experience (>480 hours each) testing ServiceNow applications

  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

  • Detail-oriented tendencies with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and internal teams professionally

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$67,020.00 - $113,934.00
