NerdWallet has a well established and highly-successful SEO program but has growth opportunities in unconventional SEO. Organic traffic and search engine optimization is one of the foundations of NerdWallet’s success and will continue to be a key strategic initiative as we grow and help people find answers to all of their financial questions. We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join our SEO Team supporting our consumer credit verticals. As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for defining the organic traffic acquisition and engagement strategies for a key user segment. Nerds embrace a mindset of ‘hypothesize, build, measure, learn’ and this role offers strong SEOs, CROs and omni-channel marketers the opportunity to employ this mindset by owning and optimizing the throughput of our vertical content library.

Projects you may be working on in this position include: 

  • Architect a Traffic & Monetization Annual Plan incorporating organic audience behavior patterns, Google SERP development and macroeconomic factors
  • Delve into challenging, complex problems while building a growth path for both emerging and legacy verticals

Where you can make an impact: 

  • Own forecast updates for traffic model and communicate assumptions behind changes, plus risks and opportunities
  • Identify strategic opportunities to grow organic traffic across our business
  • Define and establish KPIs and goals
  • Own and execute a content roadmap designed to optimally capture and convert organic traffic in a way that balances business priorities and user needs
  • Track and anticipate competitor activity and industry trends
  • Reinforce and improve SEO Moat and performance on priority pages
  • Own strategy and testing for website ads that drive priority engagement metrics across site
  • Monitor competitive landscape across owned verticals and identify opportunities for competitive advantages and/or matching tactics
  • Develop dashboards, monitor performance and contextualize the data to form actionable insights that drive results
