SEO and Content Director

Role

The Blockovate team is looking for an ambitious & hard-working Head of SEO & Content Director

with significant experience working in crypto/blockchain marketing  to join our team. Reporting directly to our CEO, the chosen candidate will be responsible for executing an SEO & content marketing strategy for the clients we work with. 

As a growing company, the responsibilities will be varied, and this role will be right for you if you can work at a strategic level in search marketing and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the day-to-day execution.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategising, executing & reporting on an SEO & content strategy
• Helping set and hitting ranking & revenue based targets
• Line management & hiring of the SEO & Content team
• Working with our content agencies to deliver optimised content
• Working with our content distribution agencies to secure strong placements across numerous markets
• Deploying numerous tactics to ensure content ranks (ie. content optimisation & link building)
• Having visibility on the search landscape and ensuring we are everywhere we need to be (reviewing competitor strategies, new placements, etc.)
• Contributing to the strategic direction and organic growth of leading blockchain projects to ensure they achieve their ambitious goals 
• Managing the content operation to ensure timely delivery of content against the weekly targets

Requirements

Essential:

• A solid understanding of SEO and demonstrable success, ideally in a fast-paced start-up/agency environment
• 6+ years of experience in an SEO role
• Provable experience managing small teams
• Ability to work autonomously and own projects from start to finish
• Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage a large workload
• Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure content quality and consistency.
• Knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics / SEMrush / Ahrefs / Google Search Console etc.

• Experience in blockchain or crypto marketing
• Knowledge of the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills

Benefits

• £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience
