The Position:

As our first UX Researcher, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy and research approach. Your main task will involve crafting and executing user research studies to delve deep into user needs, behaviors, and pain points for our Emerging Sports Product Group. Collaborating closely with our product and design teams, you'll help steer strategic product decisions. This role reports to the Director of Product Design and sits within our Product Organization.


What You’ll Do:

  • Independently lead research planning and execution using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, building alignment with cross-functional peers and stakeholders throughout the research process.

  • Collaborate with Design and Product leadership to align research priorities and roadmap across multiple work streams in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Clearly communicate insights and learnings, tying directly to actionable next steps and impact on product direction.

  • Represent customer needs and opportunities, backed by data, in strategic product planning and prioritization.

  • Develop and grow a research practice that unlocks customer insights and value. Develop processes and norms and provide coaching to the Product Designers and Managers.

  • Question the status quo and advocate for change.

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of relevant user research experience working on digital experiences with a proven track record of generating actionable insights that result in measurable product improvements.

  • You have experience with a broad range of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, across the various stages of product development.

  • You collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, drive alignment around user needs, and incorporate peers into the research process.

  • You have a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can present effectively to executive audiences.

  • You take the time to seek out and provide meaningful feedback because you know it's the best way to grow.

  • You are self-aware and humble.

The target salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $170,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
