What you will be doing?

  • Own the entire documentation strategy and governance aligned to the greater organization 

  • Integrate with engineering and product teams to document product releases on an agile development cycle 

  • Rewrite existing user guides and API reference documentation for clarity, grammar, and styling 

  • Establish and maintain a documentation framework with version control across many products using customer feedback and metrics to iterate on documentation improvements 

  • Contributing to the team style guide, release notes, glossary, and other supplementary materials to enhance our documentation and provide writing guidance to our organization 

​What you will need:

  • 5+ years of recent experience creating an end-to-end technical documentation lifecycle 

  • 5+ years of recent experience in technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, human readable instructions 

  • 5+ years of recent experience with SDK or API documentation for a technical audience. 

  • 5+ years of recent experience testing code using tools like Postman 

  • 5+ years of recent experience interpreting code so that it can be explained to users. 

  • Experience working closely with product, engineering, and design teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 

  • Experience with major content management systems 

  • Ability to take feedback and use it to iterate on your work

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $73,250.00 - $119,400.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
