About the Team
At Outreach, Business Systems’ mission is to enable and enhance corporate processes at scale. We are a centralized team providing a suite of services to other Outreachers, helping them to efficiently serve our customers and each other. We are building the team around strong critical thinkers - individuals who can navigate ambiguity and help us along our journey of discovery and transformation.
The Role
As a member of the Business Systems team, you’ll guide our cloud-first architecture, and shape the way we think about corporate systems, cross-platform integrations, and data delivery.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Customer Experience and Marketing. You’ll manage gathering requirements, identifying solutions, and assessing fit including build vs. buy decisions, and program execution. A key success factor will be your ability to deliver business process capabilities that seamlessly span systems boundaries by taking ownership to understand the business processes and needs, rather than just approaching your role from a technical perspective.
Location: This position can be in hybrid in Seattle or remote within the US (prefer PT time zone).
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic technical program plans aligned with business objectives.
- Lead delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, and own the program schedules, including prioritization, mobilizing teams, tracking milestones, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery of business and customer outcomes.
- Work cross functionally with different technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify, translate high-level, ambiguous business goals into working software solutions and document requirements.
- Work with teams to streamline processes, address operational inefficiencies, and manage key objectives, ensuring timely releases and optimizing tools for greater efficiency.
- Partner with Product and Corporate Engineering teams to define best practices for scope management, expectation setting, and delivery processes, aligning with internal customer needs.
- Utilize technical acumen to provide insights, support decision-making, and help mitigate risks in collaboration with product and engineering partners.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
Our Vision Of You
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Software Engineer, or related role in a cloud-first environment.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen.
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery across application boundaries, collaborating with both systems and software engineers in build+buy scenarios.
- Skilled in roadmap planning, scoping, and discovery for large cross-company initiatives, with expertise in defining and documenting requirements, tracking progress, resolving dependencies, and communicating status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive execution in dynamic environments, while taking ownership and identifying key opportunities for organizational transformation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a consultative approach.
- Strong ability to prioritize, assess risks, and evaluate trade-offs to drive optimal outcomes.
- Understanding of technical architecture, data delivery, and integration, with familiarity in modern programming languages.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You embody our core values: We are hungry craftspeople, we have grit, we are honest, we take ownership, we have each other's back no matter what, we're one with our customers, and we find strength in diversity and inclusion.
