We’re looking for a detail-oriented Implementation Manager to lead our customers through the design, configuration, and implementation of Apella’s data interfaces. In this role, you’ll be the primary technical point of contact, working directly with customers and vendors to plan, execute, and track interface projects that ensure Apella’s solutions meet customer needs. You’ll collaborate closely with clients to define new product requirements, manage project timelines, and bring valuable insights to our product roadmap.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Implementation Manager to lead our customers through the design, configuration, and implementation of Apella’s data interfaces. In this role, you’ll be the primary technical point of contact, working directly with customers and vendors to plan, execute, and track interface projects that ensure Apella’s solutions meet customer needs. You’ll collaborate closely with clients to define new product requirements, manage project timelines, and bring valuable insights to our product roadmap.
In this role you'll:
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers on all aspects of data interface design, configuration, and implementation.
- Communicate technical requirements effectively, working with vendors and customers to create detailed project plans.
- Collaborate with clients to identify new product and data requirements.
- Drive project plans with customers, ensuring technical and project deadlines are met ahead of go-live (typically within 1-3 months).
- Develop test plans and set up product environments to demonstrate integrations and validate implementation progress.
- Keep internal teams informed on implementation progress and metrics, creating visibility for project outcomes.
- Influence the product roadmap by sharing customer-specific insights to streamline implementation timelines.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience working with customers to build data interfaces.
- Strong expertise in interface development for electronic health records
- Knowledge of interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Familiarity with EHR capabilities in surgical scheduling.
- Proven ability to create and maintain data dashboards for tracking customer progress.
- Experience with sales enablement and processes for cloud-based software or SaaS.
- Skilled in creating and managing project and test plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a high degree of empathy and an ability to work with diverse clients and organizations.
- Experience with SSO requirements and testing client user accounts. (Nice to haves)
- Background in Epic or Cerner integrations.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel (including writing queries and running reports) and Metabase.
- Experience in comparing and validating scheduling data across systems to ensure accuracy.

Compensation:The salary range for this position is between $130,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We believe in fair compensation and strive to provide a competitive package, including benefits and growth opportunities. We assess final compensation throughout the interview process, taking into account your experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
