Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity   

The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective delivery and management of M365 – MS Azure and cloud-based solutions across NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA)

You will be responsible for day-to-day technology environment management, monitoring of technology hardware operations including incident response through to restoration of services – this includes both traditional on-premises hardware and cloud-based infrastructure. You will ensure service integrity and quality of technology operations and support meets agreed business outcomes.

We are looking for an effective communicator with excellent collaboration and relationship management skills.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $108,324 -$144,432 commensurate to skills and experience.

Ko koe tēnei | About you   

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 5 years significant experience in technology infrastructure operations teams: MS Server and M365 Applications – level 2 and 3.
  • Experience administration and maintenance of: MS Teams, MS Azure and MS Defender
  • Experience in maintenance activities including security patching
  • Experience in on-premise service technologies
  • Experience in networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of multiple modern operations and Agile methodologies

You will be prepared to work as part of an on-call roster, likely to be every 6 to 7 weeks, for one week.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
