Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead a group of project teams in the application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts

• Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for reducing extraneous steps

• Develop effective Jira workflow automations that streamline development tracking

• Create informative Jira dashboards that capture and convey essential information

• Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas

• Work on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative

• Work under intermittent/no consultative direction toward predetermined long-range plans and objectives

• Provide advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise

• Provide expert advice toward establishing long-range plans and objectives

• Apply state-of-the-art technical insight in multiple fields and disciplines

• Support new or projected areas of technological research and advancements for obtaining/attracting new business

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty and 

• 7+ years of related professional experience

• Must possess the ability to perform in a lead capacity

• Experience reviewing program processes and identifying opportunities to eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies

• Experience designing and implementing advanced automated Jira workflows

• Experience developing robust Jira dashboards

• Experience drafting process and system documentation

• Active Top Secret clearance

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with Big Data Platform (BDP) architecture and design

• Certification in systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP), software development (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Certified ScrumMaster), or Configuration Management (e.g., CCMP

• Experience creating test scripts and plans
