We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Systems Engineer to collaborate on cutting-edge projects involving the US Navy Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Training Program.
This position will support the PEO IWS 80 Hardware/Product Support Manager Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM). Responsibilities and Basis qualification include but are not limited to:
Experience providing technical and programmatic support to large Navy Acquisition training programs.
Familiarity with combatant combat system training hardware and software development, management and employment.
Familiarity with DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to systems engineering processes and acquisition and modernization of Navy combat systems.
Participate in program management reviews and prepare and coordinate inputs for status reports, briefings and information inquiries.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or Information Systems Management with Fifteen (15) years of practical application experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation.
Experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities installation/Troubleshooting.
Desired Qualifications:
Five years of experience with Ship Self Defense Systems Training Program
Familiarity with Advanced Training Domain, ATD
Clearance Requirements:
Current and Active secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
