The Senior Software Architect for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to architect, build and deploy software platforms on our next generation on-prem and Cloud based products. Incumbent will develop and demonstrate\communicate software solutions and architectures by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle and Design Controls. He or She will develop quick prototypes to demonstrate the architectural concepts and product ideas to team, management, product management, customers etc. Furthermore, the candidate will work with SME’s, Architects, product managers and mentor the software developers.

This position is part of the Integrated Software Platform team located in Chaska, Minnesota and can be hybrid in Minnesota or fully remote in the eastern or central time zone states. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design, Architect and Deliver Products.
  • Work in iterative product release environment, with focus on quality and delivery goals
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams Product Management, Service, Software Architects and Systems to understand the product needs and translate into solution architecture.
  • Understand complex system issues and drive root cause in a global environment.
  • Explain and articulate problems and drive solutions with offshore\remote teams and deploy it in the system, provide demos and drive to closure.

The essential requirements of the job include:
