Job Overview:

The Senior Specialist, Outreach Engagement is responsible for developing and executing  Petco Love outreach strategies to engage and connect with target audiences, including community organizations, stakeholders, and key partners. This role will drive efforts to build awareness, enhance relationships, and facilitate collaboration to achieve organizational goals. The Senior Specialist will manage outreach programs, implement engagement tactics, and contribute to the creation of meaningful impact through effective communication and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outreach Strategy Development:
    • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive outreach strategies to engage diverse stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and partners.
    • Identify and establish relationships with key external partners and community influencers to enhance outreach efforts.
    • Tailor engagement approaches to specific communities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Program Management:
    • Lead the execution of outreach campaigns and initiatives, ensuring that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and with measurable outcomes.
    • Organize and coordinate events, workshops, and outreach activities that build awareness and foster collaboration with target audiences.
    • Manage and evaluate ongoing outreach programs to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, local organizations, and external partners to drive collaboration and resource sharing.
    • Serve as a liaison between the organization and community groups to ensure mutual understanding and alignment with program goals.
  • Communication and Content Development:
    • Create engaging content for outreach materials, including presentations, reports, brochures, and digital media to effectively communicate program goals and outcomes.
    • Coordinate internal and external communications to support the dissemination of outreach-related information.
  • Data Tracking and Reporting:
    • Track and analyze the success of outreach programs through data collection, surveys, and feedback.
    • Prepare reports on outreach efforts, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Team Leadership:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, communications, program management) to align outreach efforts with broader organizational objectives.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and outreach volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, public relations, or related areas.
    • Proven success in managing and executing outreach programs, with experience in diverse community settings.
    • Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including community organizations, government entities, and businesses.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Proficient in using outreach tools and technologies, such as CRM systems, event management software, and social media platforms.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Strong cultural competency and ability to engage with diverse populations.
    • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Familiarity with data analysis tools and the ability to derive insights from outreach performance metrics.

Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
