Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Employee Engagement is responsible for leading communication projects as part of the Xfinity Sales Enablement Sales Communication team. The team is responsible for developing engaging, impactful, communications for our internal platforms in a creative and dynamic way that resonates with target audiences. This creative, enthusiastic, highly collaborative design professional will be responsible for using data and best practices to develop and disseminate high-quality, multi-media, brand-aligned, and channel-specific content to communicate, inspire, inform, and engage our employee audiences to enhance their experience as brand and product ambassadors. They are expected to create effective communication strategies and adjust approaches based on key data, feedback and insights. They will write, design, review, edit and proofread their work, and at times other’s work. They are expected to create and review complementary graphics that enhance key messages. The successful candidate has a keen understanding of how to combine text, audio, video, photography and digital design while applying visual hierarchy and page layout techniques. The ideal candidate should demonstrate independent end-to-end project management of design projects and assist in the creative development of long-term communication strategies for new initiatives and programs. This person is skilled at partnering with subject matter experts and leadership at all levels (Managers, Directors, and VPs, etc.) to gain agreement on complex projects and communication strategies. They must be able to provide project leadership across teams. They have in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in their own discipline, usually determine their own work priorities and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with content providers, brand and legal to develop the overall layout and production design for activation tactics such as videos, gifs, incentives, job aids, interactive PDFs, games immersive experiences, digital signage, leadership messaging, and other communication methods. 
  • Creates strategy and messaging; writes, reviews and edits content of communications materials to ensure content meets established communications standards and guidelines before publication. Ensures prior approvals are coordinated and obtained prior to any document dissemination. 
  • Prioritize and manage multiple creative projects within design specifications and budget restrictions on tight deadlines. 
  • Use a wide range of digital media and interactive software programs (such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office) to create unique and memorable communications materials that play a vital role in the dissemination of information and the education of employees. 
  • Ensures all communications and presentations adhere to the spirit of Xfinity brand guidelines and other NBCUniversal brand assets. Assist other in understanding and applying these guidelines across a wide range of products. 
  • Assumes roles of subject matter expert for product and Go to Market related communications. 
  • Keeps communications fresh, creative and engaging. 
  • Exercises creative liberty while following brand guidelines and stakeholder direction. 
  • Tracks and reports out on key metrics/KPI’s of each project against the goals set at the beginning 
  • Effectively and regularly communicates with leadership teams to gain feedback on quality of communications approach provided by the team. 
  • Partners closely with divisional peers to reduce duplication of content by facilitating shared content strategies and facilitates best practice sharing across teams – building a One Team atmosphere. 
  • Partners closely with the lead of the Communications Platform team to understand how to best use the sales communications platform to deliver an effective message and create a strong user experience. 
  • Participates in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance. 
  • Builds effective partnerships to understand the business and functional area supported. 
  • Participates in team, staff, and department meetings. 
  • Actively engages with frontline sales teams to seek feedback on campaigns and communications. 
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. 
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Interactive Media, or Visual Communications or equivalent  
  • 3-5 Years of related experience 
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, etc.) as well as file management platforms such as Asana, Smartsheet, and SharePoint. 
  • Outstanding graphic design skills and experience creating digital content. 
  • Photography, videography, video editing/production, motion graphics, or web design skills a plus 
  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to take on detailed, complex communication requests and turn them into easily digestible, bite-sized deliverables. 
  • Project management and time management skills, with proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities at once. 
  • Strong understanding of CMS, HTML/CSS, responsive web design, and other digital technologies. 
  • Helps to analyze data to identify opportunities in communications effectiveness and provides recommendations to enhance strategy.  
  • Strong research, organizational, planning and learning skills. 
  • Evaluate effectiveness of communication strategies, tactics and means of measuring results, and tracks changes and trends over time. 
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility; motivated and committed to excellence; positive attitude and "can do" work ethic. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: collaborative, relationship builder, motivates others, promotes teamwork, excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage and transition quickly between multiple projects/campaigns 
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%

Compensation

National Pay Range: $55,814.37 USD-$130,814.94 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
