About the Role
Dandy is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The Ordering team builds and maintains our Desktop app, which allows doctors to scan patients and order dental products (such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, night guards, sleep apnea devices, etc.). This application is currently responsible for ~90% of all dental orders at Dandy, despite only being created in the last few years. In addition to the core application, our team is also responsible for various scanner integrations and the other ordering systems they connect to here at Dandy.
In this role, you’ll have countless opportunities to solve challenges while building integrations with cutting-edge 3D scanners. No where in the world will you find such an opportunity, where you’ll be able to work with so many different forms of dental scanning technology. We are embarking on an ambitious chapter as we build out the best-in-class experience for dental scanning software, and we want you to be a big part of it.
What You'll Do
Maintaining our scanning subsystems
Scanner integrations
Software bridges to support ordering from the various scanners, through our ordering systems
Building out new integrations for additional scanner types
Investigating root causes for native windows app issues
Profiling, establishing baselines and making progress on app performance
Utilizing Windows app registry and logging utilities to triage issues
Improving our windows development and build processes
What We're Looking For
6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high growth environment
Windows software development experience
Electron Experience
React, Node + GraphQL Experience
Bonus Points For
Windows support experience (supporting applications on windows, or remote support of windows machines)
CI/CD (build pipeline management experience)
