As a Senior, Software Engineer on the Sam's Membership team, your role will involve transforming requirements into practical solutions through coding, fostering collaboration across diverse teams, and offering strategic insights to drive innovation, mentoring and leading small teams of 2-3 engineers.

About Team:

The Sam's Membership team is responsible to deliver an omni channel experience for our members by supporting all member related functions. We are a team of software engineers whose strengths include (1) collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and build complex, scale-ready solutions, (2) testing for reliability and resiliency, and (3) ensuring quality through operational excellence.

What you'll do:

• At least 5 years of experience as Software Engineer with Strong development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Azure Cosmos DB, Python, Spark.
• Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data driven, and message-oriented architecture.
• Experience designing scalable microservices.
• Experience working on cloud scale massive relational and No-SQL databases.
• Experience with code repositories and version control practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices. Automated deployment experience.
• Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.
• Experience in agile development methodology.
• Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest features in Kubernetes, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
• Ability to design for fault tolerance and high availability.
• Experience coding in object-oriented programming with Java. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services and GraphQL using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience writing Unit Tests, Functional Tests, and Integration Test
