We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Sales Application Engineering team at eHealth. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing our next-generation Sales application, aimed at providing seamless and intuitive experiences for our benefit advisors. You'll contribute to the development of essential services and components, including quoting systems, lead segmentation tools, self-service sales scripts, and integrations with third-party technologies like Marketo, Twilio, and Bloom. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in delivering CRM functionalities such as lead management, agent management, and work queue management. Your work will empower our benefit advisors to efficiently serve our omni-channel customers, ensuring high-quality experiences that drive our mission of enabling accessible and personalized healthcare solutions.

You have proven industry experience in software design and development. You are a solution-centric, results-oriented, and experienced Software Engineer. You want to “build what’s right, not what’s easy.” You will work with other engineers in a collaborative environment to improve the overall quality while achieving timely delivery of projects. You are ambitious, talented, and driven to make the team and project successful.


Responsibilities:
• Architect, design, and implement end-to-end features for sales application solutions, ensuring seamless experience across various customer touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, including robust unit, integration, and functional tests, surpassing customer and business expectations.
• Engage with leaders and team members across Engineering, Product Manage, UX Design, Analytics, and Marketing to provide valuable insights on user-centric and technically feasible solutions.
• Drive the establishment of development standards and assess technology options to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment characterized by rapid iterations, continuous learning, and a passion for overcoming obstacles.


Basic Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or similar field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in fast-paced full-stack product development environment.

• Must reside in Mountain Time (MT) or Pacific Standard Time (PST) and work extended hours due to regular meetings with our Xiamen Team (early morning & evenings).


Preferred Qualifications:
• Full-stack development expertise utilizing modern Java and JavaScript ecosystem.
• Proficiency with Spring framework and event streaming using Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Familiarity with Vue.js and similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience implementing microservices architecture.
• Experience implementing GraphQL with Springboot.
• Experience with Angular JS.
• Experience modernizing legacy and monolith applications.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
