About the role
The mission of the Developer Experience org is to design, develop, and support tools and processes that make common developer workflows efficient and reliable.
This role is specific to the Release Infrastructure team, which owns continuous integration, continuous deployment, source control, code review, code search, and a subset of internal developer tools.
Some of our present and future challenges include:
- Identifying and working on opportunities to improve developer efficiency, confidence, and service reliability.
- Building tools and infrastructure that makes writing, testing, and shipping code easy.
- Architecting and building the experience of continuous delivery for hundreds of engineers.
- Scaling our infrastructure and processes to serve a growing Reddit Engineering organization.
- Building a solid understanding of customer’s needs and identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Investigating, building, and integrating novel technologies (e.g. Generative AI) to solve problems for our developers.
As a senior engineer on this team, you’ll be immediately responsible for building and driving a vision for our developer experience from the first line of code to the artifact released at the end of the process.
