Microsoft 365 Copilot is a groundbreaking productivity tool that leverages the power of large language models, user data, Microsoft Graph, and the web to drive unparalleled creativity and productivity. At the heart of this innovation is the Office AI Experiences team, which plays a crucial role in the development of App Chat Copilot. This spans from the chat user experience to the middle-tier service that runs AI-powered workflows and horizontal skills, and extends across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and many partners across Microsoft. 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take on a principal role that offers the chance to engage in full-stack development, with a primary focus on Typescript, as well as opportunities in C#. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and influence the development of the One Microsoft orchestrator, be responsible for bringing in new capabilities and skill to App Chat Copilot and shared UX, ensuring the delivery of a world-class experience through the optimization and iteration of the performance and reliability of the entire system at scale or be responsible for driving new scenarios and features unlocked by fast paced advances in LLMs and variety of new language model.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience coding in JavaScript/TypeScript or C#/Java
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience with React, CSS and HTML5. 
  • 4+ years experience with problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting code. 
  • Proficient in debugging and diagnosing web or service issues. 


Additional / Preferred Qualifications 

  • Cross-discipline and cross group collaboration skill
  • Passion for customers, design thinking, data analysis and technolog
  • Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality products.
  • Experience as mentor or project lead 

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
