The Role
BuzzFeed's RevTech team is a highly visible team that contributes directly to the companyâs earnings and supports our Business department through the full life cycle of Advertising and Commerce products. We have big plans for building next generation technology that will help the company offer a unique product that leverages ML and AI to target and segment users. The team works across all sites and tech teams and collaborates closely with the Business Department.
Youâll report to the Engineering Lead for our Revtech Infrastructure team, surrounded by passionate people who are generous with their time and want to help you grow at BuzzFeed. Youâll work with engineering, product, design, and data colleagues globally across time zones. We are working hybrid, and there will be an opportunity to work in our NY or LA offices. Fully remote is also an option.
You Will
- You'll develop, optimize, and maintain critical services and APIâs that power BuzzFeedâs Advertising and Commerce businesses
- You'lll use a variety of languages and both internal and third party platformsÂ
- You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Designers to understand and shape work at all different stages of a projectâs lifecycle
- You'll build stable, resilient, and high performance software
You Have
- You have 1 to 3 years of experience using and building web APIs.Â
- You are a skilled and empathetic engineer who enjoys contributing to and leading technical projects and working with engineers at all levels âŚ
