In this position you will be part of the Engineering team at ServiceTitan responsible for the technical development of our product and tooling platform specifically around Automation, Platforms and engineering experiences . We are looking for engineers to contribute to our software development lifecycle by building out tools, libraries, frameworks and processes that will improve our development velocity, expand teams’ testing abilities, enable teams to self-service, and enable fast, reliable, comprehensive automated coverage. We need technically capable, forward-looking, experienced engineers with shared services and tooling experience with a passion for quality who can build best-in-class tools to be adopted across all of ServiceTitan and facilitate segments of quality delivery - functional, acceptance, performance, security, disaster readiness, etc across the board. We also desire those who can balance rapid iteration and development with long term strategic thinking and who are innovative, confident, and comfortable with ambiguity.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and improve our automation tooling, frameworks and libraries by working closely with developers to deliver testing platforms that enable them to self service as well improve their velocity and success.

  • Develop and evolve Infrastructure as code frameworks for all automation needs Design, develop, and maintain automation libraries Evaluate, onboard, achieve expertise, and educate developers on third-party tooling.

  • Own the tooling and strategy from local-machine through production while providing observability across them all with a quality mindset.

  • Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance and be able to handle periods of uncertainty and ambiguity; detail-orientation is a must

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with web and mobile applications in the software development industry

  • 3+ years building tooling and shared services for engineering teams

  • Experience working in a fast paced Agile environment and handling ambiguity

  • Experience with public cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), infrastructure (Kubernetes and/or Docker), and DevOps tooling (backstage, Terraform) Strong Technical Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, familiarity with C#, Python, & JavaScript

  • Experience with code deployments and version control systems (Git), CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc), and Kubernetes

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and self service tools like backstage

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $126,000 USD - $182,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits. Apply
