Senior Software Engineer, Front End - Views (Remote Eligible)

We are looking for a full-stack software developer with experience in front-end web performance to build the next generation views in Smartsheet. Our customers love our product and our engineers to deliver the quality expected of the Smartsheet team.

You will report to our Sr. Manager, Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will

• Write clean, efficient, performant and scalable code
• Instrument, identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in new Smartsheet views written in TypeScript, React, and Redux
• Collaborate with the individual views teams to understand upcoming features and their potential impact on system performance
• Instrument and profile view applications to identify web performance bottlenecks
• Develop, enforce and educate web performance patterns, tooling, standard and best practice
• Take part in code reviews and architectural discussions as you work with other software engineers, UX designers and product managers
• Be a technical contributor on our team, implementing performance and scale improvements in TypeScript/React/Redux and integrating with back-end Kotlin/Java services running on AWS
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members

You Have:

• 5+ years software development experience
• 2+ years experience in SaaS application development
• Experience with React and Redux
• Experience building performant and scalable web applications
• Successful in an environment with frequent production releases
• Experience writing complex asynchronous code that communicates with multiple services
