Senior Software Engineer

ServiceTitan is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of our platform. This is an exciting role for an engineer to work on the voice and messaging components of our product. We build for product excellence, use the most modern tools on Microsoft .NET platform, have an amazing culture, and love to solve complex problems. You will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing new features for the telephony and messaging platform components that are used as part of our product. This will primarily involve working in C# with some Javascript. You will work with Product, Design, and Quality Assurance to develop scalable, rock-solid, production ready features. You will be expected to iterate rapidly while delivering high-quality output.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, design, and implement telecom and messaging feature functionality.

• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to prototype and implement product features.

• Communicate effectively with other engineers, product managers, customers, and partners.

• 70% development  / 30% working on requirements, mentorship, supervision.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of industry experience

• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing telecom and SMS / MMS functionality

• Expert-level knowledge of: Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or any other)

• Experience creating or maintaining JSON Web APIs backed by relational databases in any strongly-typed back end development framework. Should be comfortable with MVC, Dependency Injection and ORM concepts

• Experience building and maintaining complex web applications

• Experience with core, framework agnostic JavaScript

• Experience with relational database performance turning

• Experience with microservices and decomposed architecture

• Ability to use a data-driven approach for product decisions.

• Strong communication and technical writing skills

• Experience with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, Visual Studio, JIRA, and other tools that are typically used by developers on Microsoft technology stack

Plus if you have:

• Experience with Javascript SPA client-side frameworks (React, Angular, etc) is a large plus

• Experience with TypeScript is a plus

• Experience with Kafka is a plus

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in Canada is between $123,000 CAD - $185,000 CAD. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits. Apply
