Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Furnishing Platform)

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer in our Furnishing Platform team to build scalable systems and data pipelines to power our consumer credit reporting. You will partner closely with our Product, Compliance, Servicing, and Credit teams to design robust reporting systems. The systems you will work on are vital for delivering accurate and timely data from Affirm’s financial product portfolio to Consumer Reporting Agencies.

What You'll Do

• Build and integrate data pipelines from a wide variety of products and systems
• Develop a deep understanding of the systems and cash flows which power Affirm
• Mentor engineers on the team to help improve their designs, code quality, and testing
• Partner with product managers and accountants to design best-in-class systems and processes to reconcile and report
• Partner with a diverse set of engineering teams who build financial products and perform financial transactions at Affirm
• On-Call Rotation - There would be an on-call rotation for this role as a requirement

What We Look For

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer 
• Drive to change consumer financial services for the better
• Fluency in back end development, event processing, and batch processing
• Prior experience in designing, building, launching, and maintaining consumer scale products
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, Airflow, AWS, and Snowflake is a plus
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Grade - ESP30

Employees new to Affirm or promoted into a new role, typically begin in the min to mid range.

ESP base pay range per year:

Min: €71,700

Mid: €89,600

Max: €107,500
