The Opportunity:
We are looking for a creative, versatile Social Media Manager to manage our ever-growing social audience. You will be responsible for educating our brand values to our engaged community and managing the day-to-day tactical side of our social media strategy. This position will further develop our editorial strategy with continuous flow of social content across various online & offline channels, helping to establish Caraway Home as the go-to brand for all things healthy and non-toxic living. 

Who You Are:
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of content creation and managing social media tasks from ideation to execution, with experience in community management. You are scrappy, have a can-do attitude, and are comfortable taking on a variety of short- & long-term projects, wearing many hats, and working independently. You have some experience using Adobe Photoshop, and can assist in developing assets for social use. You are chronically online and always up to date on the latest trends and best practices, and are the first to test out new platforms and features when they launch. You have a passion for thinking outside the box when it comes to social media management and are excited to market non-toxic, sustainable homeware to our community. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a social media strategy and content plan, aligned with our marketing and content calendars, to support core business KPIs, drive awareness, traffic, and revenue, and bring key Caraway moments to life in authentic and engaging ways.
  • Optimize scalable processes and work cross-functionally to manage content requests to achieve brand & business goals.
  • Build a social media content calendar and publishing cadence. Own the day-to-day planning, management, and execution of all channels.
  • Plan and execute launches, promotions, and events on social media platforms to support go-to-market (GTM) strategies and drive brand awareness and engagement. Ensure our social channel’s reflect Caraway’s brand look and voice, collaborating with brand creative to maintain visual aesthetic, tone, and relevancy.
  • Leverage the social associate to execute the social media strategy and content plan, including caption writing, curating UGC, post scheduling, community management, content requests, and ensuring alignment with global marketing calendar, editorial themes, and relevant cultural moments.
  • Manage and create organic content for all of Caraway Home’s social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube/YouTube Shorts, X (Twitter) and Threads, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, leveraging both direct reports and cross-functional content associates 
  • Formulate, test, and execute social media-specific tactics to encourage audience growth and maintain healthy organic engagement for each channel.
  • Ideate new scalable social content opportunities and campaigns that are impactful, communicate core brand themes, and drive audience growth & engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support all marketing efforts, including, but not limited to: organic and paid social, influencer activations, product launches, brand marketing campaigns, partnerships, sales and promotions, and giveaways.
  • Partner with the Community Management team to gain insights into social sentiment to inform our social content & engagement strategies, fostering collaboration between Social and CX teams.
  • Monitor, analyze and develop daily/weekly/monthly reporting on social metrics. Propose recommendations, effective strategies, and actions to optimize and grow our social strategy, using relevant analytics and partnering with CX/Growth. 
  • Continually identify and implement refined standards, systems, and best practices for effective cross-functional communication strategies related to campaigns and evergreen activities. Stay up-to-date on current social trends, providing insight and action to create compelling opportunities for Caraway. 

Knowledge, skills, & abilities:

  • 6+ years’ relevant digital marketing or social media experience, managing CPG social media channels, either in an in-house position or within an agency.
  • Experience marketing a B2C, DTC, or business/personality/brand with a highly engaged audience.
  • Proven record in growing follower count and building an online community at a DTC business/personality/brand.
  • Strong understanding of metrics and KPIs that indicate strong social performance; ability to analyze data to improve strategy and optimize social performance.
  • Strong copywriter with a knack for storytelling; ability to repurpose marketing materials to effectively create organic content, tailor-made for each social channel that feels endemic to that platform.
  • Experience with Instagram & TikTok needed; experience & familiarity with other channels like Pinterest, Threads, X, and YouTube/YouTube Shorts preferred.
  • Strong project management skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for all things home, design, and leading a non-toxic lifestyle.
  • Deep understanding of social media, its best practices, and what’s trending.
  • Ability to create content for Caraway’s social media needs such as filming, editing, etc., as needed.
  • Ability to connect with a virtual audience, utilizing insights and prior experience managing a community to help promote our social strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Exceptionally organized with a strong ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Content curator with an elevated creative eye and aesthetic; can execute a creative vision across a variety of mediums (photo, text, video).

The anticipated base salary range for this role ​is $90,000 - $110,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
