A Day in the LifeThe person in this role will work from the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota. When fully functional in the role, the resource in this position may transition to a hybrid working model, reporting to the office three days per week and working remotely for the remaining days.

We are seeking a creative and strategic Senior Service Designer to join Medtronic’s IT Innovation Lab. As Medtronic continues to evolve as healthcare solutions company, it is imperative that we link advances in technology to highest level needs of our customers, both patients and healthcare providers. Traditional feature-based innovation alone is not enough in the new economy to differentiate our products, self-disrupt, and create new opportunities for Medtronic to continue as the world leader in biomedical engineering.

The Innovation Lab is an internal experience, design, and strategy consulting team at Medtronic. We use methods of empathy building and needs definition along with creative ideation and prototyping/testing practices to deliver the economic value for Medtronic Operating Units (OU) globally.

In this role, you will lead the design and development of innovative, user-centered healthcare services that enhance patient and provider and employee experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, and healthcare professionals, to ideate, prototype, and implement impactful service solutions that align with our mission to improve patient outcomes.
