Position Summary

Collaborates with Dr. Tammy English (PI) on the design, conduct, and reporting of research projects.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the PI on the design and conduct of research projects.
  • Prepares and submits research reports.
  • Accesses, cleans, and analyzes data.
  • Mentors advanced undergraduate and graduate researchers on research projects related to area(s) of expertise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A PhD in Psychology or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects.
  • Expertise in emotion regulation, well-being and/or aging.
  • Experience working with adult lifespan samples.
  • Fluency in the use of R or SPSS for data cleaning and statistical analyses.
  • Knowledge of and experience with implementing open science practices.
  • Advanced statistical skills (e.g., multilevel and/or structural equation modeling).
  • Knowledge of theories of socioemotional functioning across adulthood.
  • Skilled at data management, statistical analysis, and scientific writing, and an interest in mentoring junior lab members in these areas.
  • Excellent professionalism and trustworthiness, including communicativeness, the ability to deliver on agreed-upon tasks, and respect for research participants and scientific integrity.

Required Qualifications

PhD, M.D. or equivalent terminal degree and at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience; or combination of education and experience equaling 12 years.

Salary Range

$32.53 - $55.29 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
